Maryland native and Biracial Angel Logic has been creating a buzz with his latest Young Sinatra mixtape series, this being his latest. In anticipation for his debut album I decided to do a quick review on his latest tape. After how much I enjoyed Young Sinatra: Undeniable I had some reasonably high expectations and this one does really live up to those as much as I hoped. Not to say it's bad because it's NOT bad but I wasn't really impressed with this leading up for this debut album under Def Jam. The production for one does hold up though. There's nothing wrong on that end but the material isn't something I feel the need to promote.
Police banging at the door while gripping a 44.
I was a youngin' but this type of shit I seen before
Through out the good lyrics he does a few silly things like randomly spouting "ho" at the end of sentences, even as a rhyme with in itself. A few skits to ignore. (which is usually a given if we're being honest here) There's also god awful feature track with Trinidad James and Kid Ink for some unknown fucking reason. Logic...I know you're trying to get your name out there...but you're above these people. He did in fact say his first album will be for the Hip hop heads strictly, and if we got Class A scrubs like Dollar sign of Death and Chris Brown's disciple over there.
Logic does follow up with some tracks detailing his seemingly horrible childhood and struggle in his neighborhood. It's not a bad effort, but not something that's got me excited for the new album. I still have my hopes for it though.
The Highlights:

The Lowlight:

The Gem:

Is it Worth Checking Out?
If you're looking for some new fresh Hip hop, why not? I'd promote Undeniable over it, if you're a Logic fan i'm sure you love this. I just wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be. A little too much braggadocious like lyrics for a lead up to a "Hip hop Head" album but I did enjoy this to a degree.
Overall Grade: C+

Until next time, One Love ya'll.
