A Quick Review: Blue Chips 2 by Action Bronson x Party Supplies

Tits. Action Bronson is a NY emcee who's been making a name for himself for some time now. His Blue Chips 2 mixtape has been getting some solid reviews and it is his most recent so i decided to check it out. The tape reaches around 53 minutes and that's not uncommon in today's world. The production duo Party Supplies teamed up with Action Bronson on this and how do they fare? Supplies hold the project down, they do their thing. I wasn't amazed but for underground mixtape there's very few holes in that side of it. But what about our emcee? Bronson is a interesting rapper. He doesn't stand out (aside from looks) but he doesn't fall in line as an average rapper either. He's more than solid but he's not a blow your mind lyricist but he isn't marketed that way.

Okay he's a bit laughable at times. I'm not extremely familiar with his work so i can't say if that's common of him. This is a borderline hour of material so it is easy for such a project to become tired but Action and Party Supplies should keep you entertained all the way through. I can't say there's a specific low point that's unbearable, that's a good sign. Blue Chips 2 stays very consistent but i doubt any of this will stick with me. Hence why this is a quick review, i just didn't have too much to say.

Save that pussy shit for the cat walk

Blue Chips 2 is a good move for Bronson and i await his next move. Presumably an album. I'd like to see him take a tad different direction with the future, or just step out a comfort zone. The risks could pay off very well, we'll have to wait and see. Esco can only sit and wish there won't be another painful Mac Miller cameo in the next entry of Action's catalog.

Is it Worth a Listen?

I'll give this a solid recommendation. I haven't felt a need to go back to it again, but it should be a very nice one listen. Or more if this peaks your interest to a higher degree than it did me.
