Almost Home by Kid Ink Review

You know, I feel like me and Inky over there are close. After how poorly i felt about his sophomore album I feel like we're one in the same. Not really, I still think he's just a hack with a tattoo fetish but! I'm giving him a chance. Why? Well you know labels can get too involved in an album, like what happened with Lasers. So maybe there is something to this Kid Ink fellow, let's check out his six track EP.

Bossin' Up feat. French Montana and A$AP Ferg
...Alright...well...everyone has a misstep. Even though he brought the verbal vomit that is French Montana, maybe something can shine through here. Ferg is...well Ferg, sounds like a squirrel and he raps nonsense. I mean, what do you expect? Let's see if the next track has some shine in it.

Fuck Sleep feat. Rico Love
And maybe Kriss Kross was better than Mobb Deep. Generic ass beat with a robotic like voice over it.

Was it Worth it feat. Sterling Simms
No it wasn't worth it. I'd also steer clear of anyone named Sterling these days. I didn't even notice a song change, sounds like the past two tracks.

Money and The Power
It's up beat. That's all I got for you. Oh, it's also long and painful. This track is basically a kidney stone in song form.

Bad Ass Remix feat. Meek Mill and Wale
Wale? An actual rapper, that's not awful!? I'm in heaven, oh wait Meek Mill's here too...Even Wale get's dragged down.

The Highlights:
Was it Worth It

The Lowlights:
Money and The Power
Bossin' Up
Fuck Sleep

The Gem:
N/A

Is it Worth a Listen?
Fucking no, six tracks and Inky brings nothing to the table. It's not even the length of an average mixtape and he didn't deliver. There goes all thought on the label just pushing out a weak album, Kid Ink is just plain wack and generic. Pass on this dude.

Overall Grade: D-

I'm sorry I had to bring your name into this Inky...Until next time, One Love.
